Abstract
Compositions are disclosed having a physiological cooling action on the skin. The compositions contain, as the active ingredient, certain acyclic tertiary and secondary carboxamides.
Claims5
Monosubstituted aliphatic acyclic carboxamides of the formula ##STR5## where R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are each C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 straight or branched chain alkyl and together provide a total of at least 5 carbon atoms;
- and
- R' is selected from C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 hydroxyalkyl and alkylcarboxyalkyl of up to 6 carbon atoms.
Monosubstituted aliphatic acyclic carboxamides of the formula ##STR6## where R.sub.1 is methyl, ethyl or n-propyl;
- R.sub.2 is a C.sub.3 -C.sub.5 branched chain alkyl group having branching at the alpha- or beta-position;
- R.sub.3 is a C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 straight or branched chain alkyl group;
- and
- R' is C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 alkyl.
Monosubstituted aliphatic acyclic carboxamides of the formula ##STR7## where R.sub.1 is methyl, ethyl or n-propyl;
- R.sub.2 is a C.sub.3 -C.sub.5 branched chain alkyl group having branching at the alpha or beta position;
- R.sub.3 is a C.sub.3 -C.sub.5 branched chain alkyl group having branching at the alpha or beta position;
- and
- R' is C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 alkyl.
