Abstract
Diagnostic agent for the detection of urobilinogen in body liquids, which comprises an absorption carrier which is impregnated with a diazonium salt, the sum of the Hammett-sigma values of all substituents of the diazonium salt being greater than +0.4.
Claims4
A method for the detection of urobilinogen which comprises contacting a sample suspected of containing urobilinogen with a diagnostic agent containing an effective amount of a compound having the formula ##STR2## wherein R.sub.1 is selected from the group of radicals consisting of CH.sub.3 --, C.sub.2 H.sub.5 --, CH.sub.2 .dbd.CH--, HOC.sub.2 H.sub.5 -- and CH.sub.3 OC.sub.2 H.sub.5 --,
- R.sub.2 is hydrogen or a (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)-radical, and X.sup.- is a stabilizing anion.
