Abstract
A silicone-coated article having releasability imparted thereto by the coating of a silicone, wherein that surface of said article on which to coat the silicone is composed of a resin consisting of a polar group-containing olefinic resin comprising (a) 55 to 99% by weight of a unit derived from an olefin and (b) 1 to 45% by weight of a unit derived from a radical-polymerizable monomer containing a polar group selected from the class consisting of ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 represents a hydrogen atom, a metal capable of forming a salt with the carboxyl group, or a monovalent hydrocarbon group, and R.sub.2 represents a monovalent hydrocarbon group; and a method for the production thereof.

A silicone-coated article having releasability imparted thereto by the coating of a silicone, wherein that surface of said article on which to coat the silicone is composed of a resin containing a polar group-containing olefinic resin comprising (a) 55 to 99% by weight of a unit derived from an olefin and (b) 1 to 45% by weight of a unit derived from a radical-polymerizable monomer containing a polar group selected from the class consisting of ##STR6## in which R.sub.1 represents a hydrogen atom, a metal capable of forming a salt with the carboxyl group, or a monovalent hydrocarbon group, and R.sub.2 represents a monovalent hydrocarbon group.
A method for producing a silicone-coated article, which comprises forming on the surface of a substrate to which releasability is to be imparted, a layer of a resin containing an olefinic copolymer comprising (a) 55 to 99% by weight of a unit derived from an olefin and (b) 1 to 45% by weight of a unit derived from a radical-polymerizable monomer having a polar group selected from the class consisting of ##STR7## in which R.sub.1 represents a hydrogen atom, a metal capable of forming a salt with the carboxyl group or a monovalent hydrocarbon group, and R.sub.2 represents a monovalent hydrocarbon group, and then coating a silicone on the resin layer.
