Abstract
The present invention relates to certain 6-alkyl-1,2-dihydro-2-oxo-3-substituted pyridine derivatives, their preparation and antihyperglycemic use.

A 6-alkyl-1,2-dihydro-2-oxo-3-substituted pyridine derivative of the Formula II,
- wherein R.sub.1 is alkyl of four to eight carbon atoms, inclusive, and R.sub.2 is tetrazolyl or carboxaldehyde.
