Abstract
A process for controlling polymer particle size distribution in the vapor phase polymerization of olefins comprises contacting fresh catalyst with a stream of wetting liquid before the catalyst is dispersed in the polymer bed, said wetting liquid being introduced at a wetting liquid flux density greater than about 20.
Claims7
In a process for the continuous vapor phase polymerization of at least one olefin utilizing a polymerization catalyst which is charged to an existing bed of polymer particles the improvement comprising contacting said catalyst with a stream of wetting liquid before said catalyst is dispersed in said bed, said wetting liquid being introduced at a wetting liquid flux density greater than about 20.
