A diesel lubricant composition comprising a lubricating oil base and a corrosion-inhibiting amount of an N-substituted 5-amino-1H-tetrazole.

A diesel lubricant composition comprising a diesel lubricating oil and a silver corrosion-inhibiting amount of at least one compound of the formula:
- ##STR2## wherein R is a straight chain alkyl having from 12 to 18 carbon atoms in the chain.
