Toy racing set

A track layout for toy vehicles, comprising:

• two halves hinged together, each of the halves formed having an open end, a closed end, a wall having a cylindrical inner surface which surrounds the inner surface of the closed end, a segment of the wall being interrupted to form a gap in the wall;
• and means for hinging together the two halves which permits the halves to be folded together so that the open ends abut each other to cause the walls to form a cylindrical enclosure, and the gaps align with each other to form an opening into the enclosure, whereby the inner surfaces of the walls provide a first track, enclosed by the closed ends of each of the halves, for racing toy vehicles which are admitted into the interior of the enclosure via the opening, the means for hinging further permitting the halves to be unfolded so that their closed ends are coplanar and their walls abut such that the gaps in each are adjacent, whereby the inner surfaces of the closed ends provide a second track, totally surrounded by the walls of each of the halves, for racing toy vehicles between the two halves via the adjacent gaps.
