Abstract
Dentifrice preparations having improved soluble fluoride availability are obtained by incorporation of ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid and sodium salts thereof.

A dentifrice comprising from about 0.1 to about 5% by weight of a water-soluble fluoride, from about 5 to about 60% by weight of a calcium abrasive and from about 0.01 to about 5% by weight of ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid or sodium salt thereof.
