Abstract
A tooth cavity is filled by applying to the walls of the tooth cavity a lining composition comprising a phosphoric or phosphonic acid ester compound containing at least one radical polymizerable vinyl group and at least one ##STR1## group, wherein said lining composition contains said phosphoric or phosphonic acid ester compound in a proportion of not less than 0.1 weight percent, as phosphorus, and then filling the remainder of the cavity with a dental filling material which comprises a polymerizable monomer, a filler and a curing agent.
Claims25
A method for filling a tooth cavity, comprising:
- (i) applying to the walls of the tooth cavity a lining composition comprising a phosphoric or phosphonic acid ester compound containing at least one radical polymerizable vinyl group and at least one ##STR35## group, wherein said lining composition contains said phosphoric or phosphonic acid ester compound in a proportion of not less than 0.1 weight percent, as phosphorus, and then
- (ii) filling the remainder of the cavity with a dental filling material which comprises a polymerizable monomer, a filler and a curing agent.
A method for filling a tooth cavity, comprising:
- cementing a dental filling material formed from a radical polymerizable monomer, a filler and a curing agent into the tooth, wherein said radical polymerizable monomer contains a phosphoric or phosphonic acid ester compound containing at least one radical polymerizable vinyl group and at least one ##STR47## group, the content of said phosphoric or phosphonic acid ester compound being 2 to 50 weight percent based on said radical polymerizable monomer.
