Dependent claims

A diagnostically active chromogenic substrate with a high specificity to thrombin and thrombin-like enzymes having the formula:

##STR3## and salts thereof, wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen or hydroxy, R.sub.2 is a chromophoric group, and n is 1, 2 or 3.
