Abstract
A photographic element having on a support at least one silver halide emulsion layer having associated therewith a development inhibitor precursor represented by the formula (I) ##STR1## wherein A is a phenyl group, a substituted phenyl group or a 5- or 6-membered nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring; said A splitting together with the sulfur atom in the above molecule from the residue of the molecule to provide a silver halide development inhibitor; R.sup.1 is an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; and R.sup.2 is a cyano group, a carbamoyl group or the group represented by the formula ##STR2## wherein R.sup.3 is an aryl group.
Claims16
A photographic element for the color diffusion transfer process comprising a support having thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer associated with a development inhibitor precursor represented by the formula ##STR28## wherein Z represents the non-metallic atomic group necessary to complete a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic ring which may be substituted or condensed with another ring, said heterocyclic rings being capable of splitting together with the sulfur atom of the molecule to provide a silver halide development inhibitor and R.sup.1 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a dye-image providing material associated with said silver halide emulsion layer, an image-receiving element, an alkaline processing composition, and a neutralizing mechanism for neutralizing said alkaline processing composition.
A photographic element comprising a support having thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer which is associated with a dye image-providing material and which is associated with a development inhibitor precursor represented by the formula ##STR29## wherein Z represents the non-metallic atomic group necessary to complete a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic ring which may be substituted or condensed with another ring, said heterocyclic rings being capable of splitting together with the sulfur atom of the molecule to provide a silver halide development inhibitor and R.sup.1 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms.
