Abstract
O-Alkyl-5-halo-pyrimidin-2-yl-thionothiol-phosphoric (phosphonic) acid esters of the formula ##STR1## in which R is alkyl, R.sup.1 is alkyl, aryl or alkoxy, and R.sup.2 is halogen, which possess arthropodical properties.

A method of combating Plutella maculipennis which comprises applying thereto or to a habitat thereof an arthropodicidally effective amount of O-isopropyl-S-[5-bromo-pyrimidin-2-yl]-thionothiol-methane-phosphonic acid ester of the formula ##STR12##
