Abstract
A bleaching composition which does not cause color change or fading of fabrics, which composition contains 50 to 98 weight % of a peroxide which releases oxygen in an aqueous solution, 1 to 49 weight % of nitrilotriacetic acid or salt thereof and 1 to 49 weight % of a water softener as critical components.

A bleaching composition which does not cause color change or fading of fabrics, consisting essentially of 50 to 98 weight % of peroxide which releases oxygen in an aqueous solution, 1 to 49 weight % of nitrilotriacetic acid, or water-soluble salt thereof, or mixture thereof, and 1 to 49 weight % of water softener capable of removing or masking calcium ions and magnesium ions contained in hard water to convert the hard water to soft water.
