Octahydropyrazolo[3,4-g]quinolines, dopamine agonists, useful in treatment of Parkinsonism and in inhibiting secretion of prolactin.

A compound of the formula ##STR8## wherein R is (C.sub.1 -C.sub.3)alkyl, allyl or benzyl and;
- R.sup.1 is COOZ' wherein Z' is (C.sub.1 -C.sub.2)alkyl or phenyl-substituted (C.sub.1 -C.sub.2)alkyl.
A compound of the formula ##STR9## wherein R is (C.sub.1 -C.sub.3)alkyl, allyl or benzyl and;
- R.sup.1 is COOZ' wherein Z' is (C.sub.1 -C.sub.2)alkyl or phenyl-substituted (C.sub.1 -C.sub.2)alkyl.
A compound of the formula ##STR10## wherein R is (C.sub.1 -C.sub.3)alkyl, allyl or benzyl and;
- R.sup.1 is H or COOZ' wherein Z' is (C.sub.1 -C.sub.2)alkyl or phenyl-substituted (C.sub.1 -C.sub.2)alkyl.
