Abstract
New carboxyalkylacylamino acids which have the general formula ##STR1## are useful as angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors.
Claims15
A compound of the formula ##STR12## and salts thereof, wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen, lower alkyl, phenyl-lower alkylene, hydroxy-lower alkylene, hydroxyphenyl-lower alkylene, amino-lower alkylene, guanidino-lower alkylene, mercapto-lower alkylene, lower alkylmercapto-lower alkylene or carbamoyl-lower alkylene;
- R.sub.2 is hydrogen or lower alkyl;
- R.sub.3 is lower alkyl;
- R.sub.4 is hydroxy or lower alkoxy;
- and n is 1 or 2.
