Abstract
The present invention relates to a method of treating pseudofolliculitis barbae in humans by topically administering to a person in need of such treatment an effective amount of the synergistic combination of benzoyl peroxide and chlorohydroxyquinoline, and the compositions therefor.
Claims8
A method for treating pseudofolliculitis barbae in humans and the prophylactic treatment thereof, which comprises:
- topically applying to involved areas of the human body an effective amount of a composition of benzoyl peroxide and 5-chloro-8-hydroxyquinoline in a concentration of about 0.05 to about 20% by weight of the total composition, in a suitable pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
