Abstract
Titanium dioxide pigment slurries containing above 50 percent titanium dioxide are reduced in viscosity by treatment with an anion exchange resin.

A method of reducing the viscosity of a titanium dioxide pigment slurry having more than about 50 percent by weight solids comprising contacting said slurry with an anion exchange resin.
A method of reducing the viscosity of a calciner discharge slurry of titanium dioxide comprising contacting said slurry with an anion exchange resin.
