Covalently bound biological substances to plastic materials whose inside surfaces have been coated with glutaraldehyde, with or without prior treatment with an aliphatic amine or diamine, useful in radioimmunoassay procedures.

A method for indirectly determining the level of thyroid hormone in a biological fluid which comprises detecting the degree of unsaturation of thyrobinding globulin in said biological fluid by employing immobilized hormone specific protein.
