Abstract
Compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein: R is hydrogen, chlorine, or fluorine; and R.sup.1 is hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, propyl, or isopropyl; or a non-toxic acid addition salt thereof; exert an anti-hypertensive effect.

A compound of the formula:
- ##STR6## wherein R' is hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, propyl, or isopropyl;
- or a non-toxic pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof.
A compound of the formula:
- ##STR7## wherein Y.sup.1 is carbobenzoxy, benzhydryl, benzyl, trifluoroacetyl, t-butyloxy carbonyl, or tosyl.
