Monoazodyestuffs containing diphenamine and phenoxy components

Abstract

Disperse dyestuffs of the formula ##STR1## wherein Z is an alkyl, aralkyl, cycloalkyl, or aryl radical and R.sub.1 represents H, NO.sub.2, CN, CF.sub.3, halogen, alkyl SO.sub.2 X.sub.1, SO.sub.2 NX.sub.2 X.sub.3, SO.sub.2 OX.sub.1, CONX.sub.2 X.sub.3, SCN, OX.sub.1, SX.sub.1 or NX.sub.2 X.sub.3, R.sub.2 represents H, NO.sub.2, halogen, alkyl, OX.sub.1 or aryl, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 independently of each other represent H, halogen, alkyl, SO.sub.2 X.sub.1, SO.sub.2 NX.sub.2 X.sub.3, SO.sub.2 OX.sub.1, COX.sub.1, CONX.sub.2 X.sub.3, NX.sub.1 X.sub.2, OH, OX.sub.1 or aryl, R.sub.5 represents H, halogen, alkyl, OX.sub.1 or aryl and R.sub.6 represents H or alkyl and X.sub.1 denote alkyl, aryl or aralkyl and X.sub.2 and X.sub.3 denote H, alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or aralkyl with the proviso that Z represents aralkyl, aryl or substituted alkyl when R.sub.1 denotes SO.sub.2 NX.sub.2 X.sub.3 or SO.sub.2 OX.sub.1. The dyestuffs are suitable for dyeing synthetic fibre materials, especially polyesters, which are dyed in yellow to orange-red shades of good tinctorial strength and with good fastness properties in use, such as, for example, fastness to light and wet processing.
