Abstract
A mechanically operated mixing dispenser for mixing and discharging materials under pressure, includes a plurality of accumulating chambers for receiving and accumulating materials to be mixed and dispensed and operable to discharge the materials under pressure over a sustained period of time, and a plurality of expansible chambers connected with sources of the different materials and with the accumulating chambers for transferring the materials from their respective sources to a respective accumulating chamber for storage of the materials under pressure.
Claims4
A mixing dispenser, comprising:
- a container for material to be dispensed;
- a dispensing device carried by the container and including first manually operable means accessible exteriorly of the container;
- a plurality of expansible accumulating chamber means carried by the dispensing device for receiving and storing under pressure quantities of materials to be dispensed and each having a longitudinal axis;
- a plurality of expansible charging chamber means carried by the dispensing device and each connected with a different source of material and each also connected with a different one of the accumulating chamber means, for receiving material from the respective different sources, pressurizing it, and transferring it under pressure to a respective one of the accumulating chamber means, said expansible charging chamber means each having a smaller cross-sectional area transverse to the longitudinal axis than the expansible accumulating chamber means and repeatedly operable to incrementally introduce quantities of material into the accumulating chamber means to incrementally charge the accumulating chamber means with an amount of material to be dispensed;
- second manually operable means connected with the expansible accumulating chamber means to effect prolonged pressurized discharge of material from the expansible accumulating chamber means;
- and
- mixing means connected with the accumulating chamber means to receive the materials therefrom and mix them prior to discharge of the mixed together materials.
A mixing dispenser, comprising:
- a container for material to be dispensed;
- a dispensing device carried by the container and including first manually operable means accessible exteriorly of the container;
- expansible accumulating chamber means carried by the dispensing device for receiving and storing under pressure a quantity of material to be dispensed and comprising a pair of cylinders and a piston reciprocable in each cylinder;
- expansible charging chamber means carried by the dispensing device and comprising a pair of cylinders and a piston reciprocable in each cylinder, one of the charging chamber cylinders being in communication with one of the accumulating chamber cylinders, and the other of said charging chamber cylinders being in communication with the other of the accumulating chamber cylinders, valve means connected between the cylinders, whereby said one accumulating chamber cylinder is charged from said one charging chamber cylinder and the other accumulating chamber cylinder is charged from the other charging chamber cylinder, said charging chamber cylinders each being in communication with a different material, whereby each accumulating chamber cylinder is charged with a different material, said expansible charging chamber cylinders each having a smaller cross-sectional area transverse to the longitudinal axis than the expansible accumulating chamber cylinders and repeatedly operable to incrementally introduce quantities of material into the accumulating chamber cylinders to incrementally charge the accumulating chamber cylinders with an amount of material to be dispensed;
- and
- second manually operable means connected with the accumulating chamber cylinders to effect prolonged, pressurized discharge of material from the accumulating chamber cylinders.
