Abstract
Antibiotic A21A is produced by cultivating Stneptomyces filipinesis under aerobic conditions.

A method of producing antibiotic A21A which comprises cultivating a A21A-producing strain of Streptomyces filipinensis in a fermentation broth containing assimilable sources of carbohydrates, nitrogen and inorganic salts under aerobic conditions until a substantial amount of A21A is produced in the fermentation broth and recovering said antibiotic.
