Abstract
Printabilities of offset printing plates which utilizes silver complex diffusion transfer process are improved by adding to silver halide emulsion at least one of betaine type cyanine dyes and anion type cyanine dyes.

An improved offset printing plate which comprises a support, a silver halide emulsion layer on the support and a surface layer containing nuclei for physical development on the emulsion layer, to which surface layer an image formed in said emulsion layer is transferred, characterized in that the silver halide emulsion contains at least one dye selected from the group consisting of betaine type cyanine sensitizing dyes and anion type cyanine sensitizing dyes.
