Abstract
The present invention concerns a novel process for the production of known benzocycloheptathiophene derivatives of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen, chlorine, bromine or alkoxy, and R.sub.2 is alkyl. The compounds are useful as specific histaminolytics for use in the treatment of allergic conditions.
Claims11
A compound of the formula:
- ##STR11## wherein R.sub.1 is in the 6 or 7 position of the benzocycloheptathiophene nucleus and is hydrogen, chlorine, bromine or alkoxy of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and
- R.sub.2 is alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms.
A compound of the formula:
- ##STR12## wherein R.sub.1 is in the 6 or 7 position of the cycloheptathiophene nucleus and is hydrogen, chlorine, bromine or alkoxy of 1 to 4 carbon atoms,
- R.sub.2 is alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and
- R.sub.3 is alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms.
A compound of the formula:
- ##STR13## wherein R.sub.1 is in the 6 or 7 position of the cycloheptathiophene nucleus and is hydrogen, chlorine, bromine or alkoxy of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and
- R.sub.3 is alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms.
