Abstract
This disclosure describes certain 11-hydroxy and 11-deoxy-9-keto (or hydroxy)prostanoic acid derivatives useful as bronchodilators, anti-ulcer agents, or as intermediates.
Claims8
A racemic mixture of the formula:
- ##STR38## wherein n is the integer 1 or 2, m is the integer 5 or 6, R.sub.1 is hydrogen or alkyl having up to 3 carbon atoms, R.sub.2 is 2-cis-pentenyl or 1,1-dimethyl-n-pentyl, and R.sub.3 is hydrogen or methyl with the proviso that when R.sub.2 is 1,1-dimethyl-n-pentyl then R.sub.3 must be hydrogen;
- and the pharmaceutically acceptable cationic salts thereof when R.sub.1 is hydrogen.
