In a process for coupling tyrosine or tyrosine methyl ester to 3-carbodigoxigenin glycine, 3-hemiadipyl digoxigenin or digoxigenin-12-acetate-3-hemisuccinate in an inert solvent utilizing an agnet to affect coupling, the improvement comprising utilizing as the agent dicyclohexylcarbodiimide.
