1,3,5-Trithiane and 1,3,5-oxadithiane carbamoyloxime compounds and insecticidal and miticidal compositions and methods employing them

An insecticidal and miticidal composition comprising an acceptable carrier and an insecticidally or miticidally effective amount of a compound of the formula:

• ##STR8## wherein:
• R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are individually hydrogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl or substituted alkyl or cycloalkyl wherein the permissible substitutents are one or more chloro, fluoro, bromo, nitro, cyano or alkoxy substitutents;
• R.sub.3, r.sub.4, r.sub.5 and R.sub.6 are individually hydrogen or alkyl;
• X is oxygen, sulfur, sulfinyl or sulfonyl;
• with the proviso that R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 substituents may not individually include more than six carbons.

A method of controlling insects and mites which comprises subjecting them to an insecticidally or miticidally effective amount of a compound of the formula:

• ##STR9## wherein:
• R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are individually hydrogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl or substituted alkyl or cycloalkyl wherein the permissible substituents are one or more chloro, bromo, fluoro, cyano, nitro or alkoxy substituents;
• R.sub.3, r.sub.4, r.sub.5 and R.sub.6 are individually hydrogen or alkyl;
• X is oxygen, sulfur, sulfinyl or sulfonyl;
• with the proviso that R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 substituents may not individually include more than six carbons.
