Abstract
The present invention relates to pyrrolidone derivatives which are analogous to natural prostaglandins and to a process for preparing the same. The compounds according to the present invention have prostaglandin-like properties and may be used as pharmaceuticals.
Claims4
A pyrrolidone of the formula ##STR22## the corresponding free acid, or a physiologically compatible metal or amine salt thereof, wherein R.sup.1 is straight-chain or branched alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms;
- R.sup.2 is straight-chain or branched alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms;
- R.sup.3 is straight-chain or branched alkyl having 1 to 10 carbon atoms;
- m is 1 or 2;
- n is 2 or 3;
- and wherein the side chains in the 3- and 4-positions in the pyrrolidone ring are in transposition to each other.
