Polyester fabrics are particularly effectively dyed with water-insoluble dyes having the formula: ##STR1##

In the process of dyeing a polyester fabric with a dispersion of a water-insoluble dye, the improvement wherein said dye is:
- ##STR19## in which R.sup.1, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 can be the same or different lower alkyl or lower alkenyl,
- R.sup.2 is hydrogen, halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or lower alkenoxy,
- X is hydrogen, chlorine, bromine, nitrile or nitro, and
- Y is hydrogen, chlorine or bromine.
