Abstract
The invention relates to novel neomycin and paromomycin derivatives having antibiotic activity. The derivatives have the formula: ##STR1## wherein R' is --NH.sub.2 or --OH, either R.sup.2 or R.sup.3 is --CH.sub.2 NH.sub.2 and the other is hydrogen, and in addition non-toxic pharmaceutically acid addition salts of these compounds can be used.

A compound having the formula ##STR6## wherein R.sup.1 is selected from --NH.sub.2 and --OH, one of R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 is --CH.sub.2 NH.sub.2 and the other is hydrogen;
- or a non-toxic pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof.
