Abstract
L-lysine produced by Brevibacterium or Corynebacterium mutants that are resistant to .alpha.-aminolauryllactam, .gamma.-methyl-lysine or N.sup..omega. -carbobenzoxy lysine.
Claims4
A method for producing L-lysine by fermentation which comprises:
- a. aerobically culturing in an aqueous culture medium an L-lysine producing mutant belonging to the genus Brevibacterium or Corynebacterium until L-lysine is accumulated in the culture medium, said mutant being resistant to .alpha.-amino-lauryllactam, .alpha.-methyl-lysine, or N.sup..omega. -carbobenzoxy-lysine;
- b. recovering the accumulated L-lysine from the culture medium.
