Abstract
4-Chromanone derivatives of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R represents alkyl of 1 through 6 carbon atoms or alkoxyalkyl of 2 through 6 carbon atoms, are new compounds possessing pharmacological properties and are useful inter alia as vasodilators.

A method of providing a vasodilating effect to a subject requiring a vasodilating effect which comprises administering to said subject a vasodilating effective amount of a compound of the formula:
- ##STR9## wherein R is alkyl of 1 through 6 carbon atoms or alkoxyalkyl of 2 through 6 carbon atoms.
