Abstract
A catalyst bed packed with metal ribbon strands having a number of different crimped configurations. Also a method of converting hydrocarbon waste gas streams which utilizes the multi-configurated packed catalyst bed.

A catalyst bed packed with catalytically active crimped metal ribbon wherein a substantial proportion of at least two different crimp configurations are present.
A catalyst bed packed with a plurality of catalytically active crimped metal ribbon strands from about 1/16 inch to 1/4 inch in width and from about 0.005 to 0.01 in. thick wherein a substantial portion of two different crimp configurations are present.
