Abstract
A method of inducing fruit abscission by application to a fruit bearing plant of an effective amount of a disulfoxide abscission agent of the formula ##STR1## wherein each R is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, hydroxyl, halogen and lower alkyl.

A method of inducing fruit abscission by application to a fruit bearing plant of an effective amount of a disulfoxide abscission agent of the formula ##STR5## wherein each R is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, hydroxyl, halogen and lower alkyl containing from 1 to about 10 carbon atoms.
A method of inducing fruit abscission by application to a fruit bearing plant of an effective amount of a disulfoxide abscission agent of the formula ##STR6## wherein each R is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, hydroxyl, halogen and lower alkyl containing from 1 to about 10 carbon atoms;
- and a non-phytotoxic plant-compatible surface active agent.
