Abstract
An antibiotic elaborated by the organism Pseudomonas lindbergii (ATCC-31099) which is antifungal in nature, or effective in strongly inhibiting or killing various types of fungi. The disclosure also relates to a method for the preparation of such antibiotic.
Claims9
A process for the production of an antibiotic which comprises cultivating Pseudomonas lindbergii (ATCC-31099) in a nutrient medium, containing sources of assimilable carbon and nitrogen, at temperatures ranging from about 15.degree. C to about 40.degree. C until substantial antiotic activity is imparted to said medium.
