Abstract
2-Acyl-3-pyrazolin-5-one couplers are provided for use in color photography which upon color development form 2-pyrazolin-5-one couplers capable of coupling with the oxidation products of the color developing agent.

Light-sensitive material comprising at least one silver halide emulsion layer and a 2-acyl-3-pyrazolin-5-one coupler carrying an alkyl group or aryl group in the 1-position and an alkyl group, aryl group, anilino group or acylamino group in the 3-position.
