Abstract
2-(Alkylhalophenylimino)-1,3-dithiolanes are ectoparasiticidal agents. The compounds, of which 2-(2-methyl-4-chlorophenylimino)-1,3-dithiolane is a typical example, are obtained by condensation of a salt of the corresponding N-phenyldithiocarbamic acid and a vic-dihaloalkane.
Claims10
A compound selected from the group consisting of a 2-phenylimino-1,3-dithiolane of the formula:
- ##STR11## and the physiologically acceptable salts thereof wherein R.sup.1 is alkyl of 1 to 6 carbon atoms;
- R.sup.2 is halo;
- and
- each of R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 is hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 6 carbon atoms.
