Abstract
A silver halide photographic light-sensitive element containing at least one hydrophilic colloid layer which contains a basic polymer and at least one oxonol dye which contains two pyrazolone nuclei in which the 3-position of the pyrazolone nuclei is substituted with a phenyl group-containing residue and in which the 1-position of the pyrazolone nuclei is substituted with a sulfo group containing aliphatic group.
Claims11
A silver halide photographic light-sensitive element comprising at least one hydrophilic colloid layer which contains poly(2-diethylamino ethylmethacrylate), the poly(2-diethylamino ethymethacrylate) being a water-soluble high molecular weight material which has a basic residue in a main chain thereof or in a branch chain thereof and which is compatible with gelatin, the poly(2-diethylamino ethymethacrylate) being present in an amount of 80 to 800 mg/m.sup.2 which is effective for mordanting, and at least one oxonal dye represented by the following formula (I):
- ##STR5## wherein R represents a divalent aliphatic group;
- M represents a cation;
- L represents a methine group;
- n represents 0, 1 or 2, and -X represents a residue selected from the group consisting of --X.sup.1, --CH.sub.2 X.sup.1, --CONX.sup.1, NHCOX.sup.1, NHCONHX.sup.1 or NHCSNHX.sup.1, wherein X.sup.1 represents a phenyl group, the at least one oxonol dye being present in an amount effective to photographically color the hydrophilic colloid layer.
