Abstract
Compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein X is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a trihalomethyl group, an alkyl group, or a cyano group, Y is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, or a trihalomethyl group, and Z is a divalent alkylene group, And compositions containing these compounds exhibit herbicidal activity.

A compound of the formula ##STR7## wherein X is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a trifluoromethyl group, a (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkyl group, or a cyano group,
- Y is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, or a trifluoromethyl group, and
- Z is a divalent (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkylene group.
