Abstract
1,2-Dithiole derivatives of the formula: ##STR1## wherein X.sub.1, X.sub.2 and X.sub.3 represent hydrogen, alkyl of 1 through 4 carbon atoms or alkoxy of 1 through 4 carbon atoms, at least one of X.sub.1, X.sub.2 and X.sub.3 representing hydrogen, and Y represents sulphur or oxygen or the hydroxyimino radical, are new compounds useful in the treatment of bilharziasis and amoebiasis.
Claims12
A 1,2-dithiole derivative of the formula:
- ##STR8## wherein X.sub.1, X.sub.2 and X.sub.3 represent hydrogen, alkyl of 1 through 4 carbon atoms or alkoxy of 1 through 4 carbon atoms, at least one of X.sub.1, X.sub.2 and X.sub.3 representing hydrogen, and Y represents sulphur or oxygen or the hydroxyimino radical.
5-(Pyrazin-2-yl)-1,2-dithiole-3-thione.
5-(5,6-Dimethylpyrazin-2-yl)-1,2-dithiole-3-thione.
5-(3-Methylpyrazin-2-yl)-1,2-dithiole-3-thione.
5-(6-Methoxypyrazin-2-yl)-1,2-dithiole-3-thione.
5-(5-Methylpyrazin-2-yl)-1,2-dithiole-3-thione.
5-(Pyrazin-2-yl)-1,2-dithiole-3-one.
3-Hydroxyimino-5-(pyrazin-2-yl)-1,2-dithiole.
