Abstract
The invention relates to novel 1-(4-R.sub.1 O-phenyl)-2-(4-R.sub.2 -phenyl)-6-R.sub.3 -1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinolines having antifertility and hypocholesterolemic activities, to their preparation, and to novel intermediates therefor.

A compound of the formula ##STR10## where R" is hydrogen, lower-alkyl, benzyl or C.sub.n H.sub.2n NR.sub.4 R.sub.5, where
- R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 are lower alkyl and n is an integer from 2 to 4 inclusive;
- and
- R".sub.3 is hydrogen or lower-alkoxy.
