Abstract
There are provided 1,2-dialkyl-3,4,5-trisubstituted pyrazolium salts which are useful as herbicidal agents as well as a method for the preparation of the said pyrazolium salts.
Claims9
A method for the control of undesirable broad leaf weeds and grass weeds comprising:
- contacting said weeds with a herbicidally effective amount of a compound selected from the group consisting of:
- 1,2-dimethyl-3,5-diphenyl-4-methoxypyrazolium perchlorate, 1,2-dimethyl-3,5-diphenyl-4methoxypyrazoliummethyl sulfate, 1,2-dimethyl-3,5-diphenyl-4-n-propoxypyrazolium chloride, 1,2-dimethyl-3,5-diphenyl-4-i-propoxypyrazolium methyl sulfate, 4-n-butoxy-1,2-dimethyl-3,5-diphenylpyrazolium perchlorate and 1,2-dimethyl-3,5-diphenyl-4-n-pentyloxypyrazolium perchlorate.
