Abstract
Radioiodinated bleomycin is a useful imaging agent for body tissues. Its production by reaction of bleomycin with N-hydroxysuccinimide esters of radioiodinated hydroxyphenylalkanoic acid is described.
Claims7
Radioiodinated hydroxyphenylacyl bleomycin, wherein the radioiodine is selected from the group consisting of I.sup.123, I.sup.125 and I.sup.131.
Method for producing radioiodinated bleomycin which comprises reacting bleomycin in aqueous solution with radioiodinated hydroxyphenylacyl N-hydroxysuccinimide then separating the radioiodinated hydroxyphenylacyl bleomycin from the excess of radioiodide ion to produce an aqueous solution of radioiodinated bleomycin.
