Abstract
This invention provides novel 5-nitrothiazolo-2-imidazoles which are useful as chemotherapeutical agents.

A compound of formula I, ##STR8## in which X is oxygen, sulphur or imino, and
- R.sub.1 is ##STR9## wherein y is alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms or monohydroxy alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or chemotherapeutically acceptable acid additiion salts thereof.
