Abstract
Novel derivatives of .alpha.-alkylbenzyl lactamimide are useful as anticoagulants.
Claims3
An .alpha.-methylbenzyl lactamimide having the formula ##STR9## wherein R.sub.1 is phenyl, phenoxy, the group ##STR10## wherein m is an integer of from 1 to 4, phenylalkoxy having from 2 to 4 aliphatic carbon atoms and phenoxyalkoxy having from 2 to 4 aliphatic carbon atoms;
- R.sub.2 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen or when taken together and adjacent to the group R.sub.1 is the cyclic radical --(CH.sub.2).sub.3 --, --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 C(CH.sub.3).sub.2 --, --(CH.sub.2).sub.4 -- and --C(CH.sub.3).sub.2 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 C(CH.sub.3).sub.2 ;
- and the pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof.
