Abstract
Clathrate compounds of prostaglandins or their analogues with cyclodextrins and a method of manufacture thereof. The compounds are useful as labor inducing agents, contraceptives, hypotensives and remedies for ulcers and asthma.
Claims21
A cyclodextrin clathrate compound of a prostaglandin having the structure:
- ##STR27## and C and D are each hydrogen or --CH.sub.3.
Clathrate compound of prostaglandins or their analogs with .alpha.- cyclodextrin.
Clathrate compounds of prostaglandins or their analogs with .beta.-cyclodextrin.
Clathrate compounds of prostaglandins or their analogs with .gamma.-cyclodextrin.
A pharmaceutical composition which comprises a clathrate compound of prostaglandin or its analog with cyclodextrin, in which the cyclodextrin is .alpha.-, .beta.-, or .gamma.-cyclodextrin, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
