Abstract
At least one unsaturated alcohol is contacted with at least one molybdenum-containing compound under reaction conditions suitable to convert at least a portion of the at least one unsaturated alcohol to at least one conjugated diene, the at least one unsaturated alcohol being selected from the group consisting of .alpha.-olefinic alcohols and .beta.-olefinic alcohols, the at least one molybdenum-containing compound being selected from the group consisting of molybdenum .beta.-diketonates and molybdenum (II) carboxylates.
