Abstract
A process for preparing organopolysiloxanes by the condensation and/or equilibration of an organosilicon compound containing silicon-bonded oxygen atoms in the presence of a phosphoronitrile chloride and an aryl compound having one or two hydroxy groups linked to the aryl radical.
Claims16
A process for preparing an organopolysiloxane, which comprises polymerizing an organosilicon compound having the general formula
- HO--(SiR.sub.2 O).sub.m --H
- in which R is selected from the class consisting of an unsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon radical and a substituted monovalent hydrocarbon radical and m represents a positive integer up to 1000, in the presence of a phosphoronitrile chloride and a hydroxyaryl compound in which one or two hydroxy groups are bonded to an aryl radical.
