Abstract
A ZrO.sub.2 -Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 -SiO.sub.2 type heat fused refractory product comprises 40 to 70 wt.% of ZrO.sub.2 + SnO.sub.2 ; 10 to 58 wt.% of Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 + Cr.sub.2 O.sub.3 and 2 to 20 wt.% of SiO.sub.2 wherein the content of alkali metal oxide is less than that of SiO.sub.2 ; the content of SnO.sub.2 is more than that of SiO.sub.2 ; and the content of ZrO.sub.2 is more than that of SnO.sub.2. The heat fused refractory product containing zirconia has excellent corrosion resistance and low expansion characteristics.

A heat fused refractory product which comprises by weight:
- ZrO.sub.2 + SnO.sub.2 :
- 40-70%;
- Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 + Cr.sub.2 O.sub.3 :
- 10-58%;
- SiO.sub.2 :
- 2-20%;
- and from 0.2-3% of an alkali metal oxide;
- wherein the amount of alkali metal oxide is less than that of SiO.sub.2 ;
- the amount of SnO.sub.2 is more than that of SiO.sub.2 ;
- the amount of ZrO.sub.2 is more than that of SnO.sub.2 ;
- and the amount of Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 is more than that of Cr.sub.2 O.sub.3.
