Water-soluble disazo dyestuffs containing a 3- or 4-[pyrazolylene-(1)-benzoylamino]-6-sulphophenyl moiety

A dyestuff of the formula ##STR127## wherein A represents phenyl, naphthyl or phenyl or naphthyl substituted by lower alkyl or sulphamoyl,

• B represents phenyl, lower alkyl-phenyl, naphthyl, phenol, lower alkylphenol, naphthol, or benzoylaminonaphthol,
• Q represents 1,3- or 1,4-phenylene or 1,3- or 1,4-phenylene substituted by lower alkyl, chloro or bromo,
• R represents lower alkyl or COO.sup.-M.sup.+
• X represents hydroxy or NH.sub.2
• Y represents a group directly linked to a ring carbon atom of A or B and has the formula ##STR128## wherein E represents --NH--, ##STR129## * the bond being linked to the remainder of Y, Hal represents fluorine, chlorine or bromine,
• Hal' represents chlorine or bromine,
• R.sub.1 represents hydrogen, chlorine, bromine or cyano,
• R.sub.2 represents fluorine, chlorine, bromine, lower alkylamino, di-(lower)-alkylamino or ##STR130## P representing 1 or 2, Z represents SO.sub.3.sup.- M.sup.+ or COO.sup.-M.sup.+ linked to a ring carbon of A, Q or B
• M.sup.+ represents hydrogen, sodium or potassium,
• m represents a positive integer of at most 3, and
• n represents a positive integer of at most 5,
• and wherein which when m is 3, one Y is linked to A and the other to B.

A dyestuff of the formula ##STR131## wherein A represents phenyl, naphthyl or phenyl or naphthyl substituted by lower alkyl or sulphamoyl,

• B represents N-methyl-N'-m -chloro-phenyl barbituric acid
• Q represents 1,3- or 1,4-phenylene or 1,3- or 1,4-phenylene substituted by lower alkyl, chloro or bromo,
• R represents lower alkyl or COO.sup.-M.sup.+
• X represents hydroxy or NH.sub.2,
• Y represents a group directly linked to a ring carbon atom of A or B and has the formula ##STR132## wherein E represents --NH--, ##STR133## * the bond being linked to the remainder of Y, Hal represents fluorine, chlorine or bromine,
• Hal' represents chlorine or bromine,
• R.sub.1 represents hydrogen, chlorine, bromine or cyano,
• R.sub.2 represents fluorine, chlorine, bromine, lower alkylamino, di-(lower)-alkylamino or ##STR134## P representing 1 or 2, Z represents SO.sub.3 .sup.-M.sup.+ or COO.sup.-M.sup.+ linked to a ring carbon of A, Q or B
• M.sup.+ represents hydrogen, sodium or potassium,
• m represents a positive integer of at most 3, and
• n represents a positive integer of at most 5,
• and wherein which when m is 3, one Y is linked to A and the other to B.

A dyestuff of the formula ##STR135## wherein A represents phenyl, naphthyl or phenyl or naphthyl substituted by lower alkyl or sulphamoyl,

• B represents di-(phenylamino) malonic acid,
• Q represents 1,3- or 1,4-phenylene or 1,3- or 1,4-phenylene substituted by lower alkyl, chloro or bromo,
• R represents lower alkyl or COO.sup.-M.sup.+
• X represents hydroxy or NH.sub.2
• Y represents a group directly linked to a ring carbon atom of A or B and has the formula ##STR136## wherein E represents --NH--, ##STR137## * the bond being linked to the remainder of Y, Hal represents fluorine, chlorine, or bromine,
• Hal' represents chlorine or bromine,
• R.sub.1 represents hydrogen, chlorine, bromine or cyano,
• R.sub.2 represents fluorine, chlorine, bromine, lower alkylamino, di-(lower)-alkylamino or ##STR138## P representing 1 or 2, Z represents SO.sub.3 .sup.-M.sup.+ or COO.sup.-M.sup.+ linked to a ring carbon of A, Q or B
• M.sup.+ represents hydrogen, sodium or potassium,
• m represents a positive integer of at most 3, and
• n represents a positive integer of at most 5,
• and wherein which when m is 3, one Y is linked to A and the other to B.
